New Zealand: Waitomo Caves

Yesterday I got two postcards: one from New Zealand and one from Germany.

The card from New Zealand shows the Waitomo Caves. The Waitomo Caves are a cave system on the North Island. They are known for their stalactites, stalagmites and Glowworms. The caves belong to New Zealand's most popular tourist destinations.

With great matching stamps:
Native Glowworms (two from set of four) (issued 02-03-2016)
The stamps glow in the dark.
The New Zealand Glowworm is the larval stage of the fungus gnat. It is mainly found in caves and is endemic to New Zealand. The fungus gnat glows in all stages of its life, but during the larval stage it glows the brightest.

Thank You very much Sharon!
