Germany: Cuxhaven

Today I got four postcards: one from Germany, one from China, one from Malaysia and one from the United Kingdom.

The card from Germany shows various views of Cuxhaven. Cuxhaven is a town in Lower Saxony. Cuxhaven is the third largest Lower Saxon city on the North Sea and the northernmost point of Lower Saxony is located in Cuxhaven. The city is also one of the most important German fishing harbours. The Wadden Sea before Cuxhaven (upper left corner, middle row middle and right) is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Kugelbake (upper left corner), a symbol of Cuxhaven, marks the boundary between the river Elbe and the North Sea. The Museum Wind Force 10 (lower right corner) shows exhibitions about the dangers and challenges of the sea travel.

Stamp:
Glücksburg Castle (from set of two) (issued 02-01-2013)

Thank You very much Uta!
