Germany: Traunstein

On Wednesday I got six postcards: four from Germany, one from Singapore and one from Russia.

One of the cards from Germany shows a view of Traunstein in Bavaria. Traunstein is part of the Benediktweg, a pilgrimage route about the childhood and youth of Pope Benedict XVI, as he visited the secondary school in Traunstein and also was ordained as a priest in the St. Oswald Church.
I got this card a few weeks ago in a cover.

With a matching stamp:
80th birthday of Pope Benedict XVI (issued 12-04-2007)
with a special postmark about the 10th anniversary of the election of Joseph Ratzinger to Pope Benedict XVI
The postmark is from Marktl, the town where Joseph Ratzinger was born in 1927.

In the cover was also a postcard showing the exterior and interior of the St. Oswald Church.

Thank You very much Heike for sending me the cards in an envelope!
