Germany: Hartenfels Castle

Today I got seven postcards: five from Germany, one from Denmark and one from Hong Kong.

One of the cards from Germany shows the Hartenfels Castle. Hartenfels Castle is a Renaissance-style palace in Torgau in Saxony. It is the biggest castle in the style of the Early Renaissance in Germany. From 1543 to 1544 the first newly built Protestant church was built at Hartenfels Castle and in 1552 Martin Luther's wife Katharina von Bora died in Torgau.
