United Nations: Vienna International Centre

On Thursday I got six postcards: five from my visit to the United Nations in Vienna and one from Japan.

One of the cards from the United Nations shows the Vienna International Centre. The Vienna International Centre was built between 1973 and 1979 by Austria and the City of Vienna for housing international organisations. Austria offered the United Nations an International Centre in 1967. Between 1983 and 1987 the Austria Centre Vienna was built beside the Vienna International Centre. Today the Vienna International Centre hosts the CTBTO, the IAEA, the UNCITRAL, the UNIDO, the UNODC, the UNHCR, the UNOOSA and the ICPDR.
